Romans 1:16-17
- Salvation: Health, wholeness, protection, peace, etc.
- The gospel is the power of God unto salvation.

Acts 13:14-17
- Antioch is in present day Turkey
- God opened Paul’s eyes by His grace and let Him truly understand Jesus and the reason why He died.

Acts 13:36-52
- (37) Jesus saw no corruption, and His body did not decay, and we will have His body too forever.
- (39) A proclaimation of God for us, full and unqualified manner. There’s no part that we need to do.
- The work has been done, despite our needs and whether we see the need or not. We just need to believe in His completed work.
- (45) The Jews were jealous of the large city to their very small church/synanougue, while all their efforts did not bring many people there.
- (50) We might get prosecuted for preaching grace, and chased away, just move away, for it is their loss, not ours. Just look for someone else.

- The gospel is about good works, not for us to condemn others.
- Martin Luther: Where there is forgiveness of sin, there is life and all blessedness… Forgiveness of sin comes good work. Remove sin from conscience…

- Repetance: changing mind from own works to Jesus’ complete work.

- Belief is the foundation of healing. We will be healed, but we need to believe that we are forgiven of all our sins first.
- Simple does not mean cheap. Forgiving us of our sins is simple, but not cheap for God.
- When we are assured that our sins are forgiven forever, we are empowered to sin no more, and we will love and forgive others too.

Psalm 130:3-4
- Fear of God produces true worship, true understanding of God.
- We feel a distance away from God when we don’t understand him.

1 John 2:12
- Forgiven: perfect passive indictiative
- When we know that we’re forgiven, then we know how to let go and forgive others.

- If we don’t believe that we are truly forgiven, we are still sin-conscious and will still draw away from God.
- We love much because we are forgiven much.
- Everyday we fail in deed or in thought, and we are forgiven much everyday.

2 Peter 1:5-9
- When we know we are forgiven much, we will have unceasing fruitfulness.
- (9) We are shortsighted (cannot see far into God’s plan and future for them.) because we forgot how forgiven we are.

- Forgiveness does not give us the license to sin more, but allows us to understand more about God and to be more in His image.

Genesis 49:33 - 50:1
- 4th time Joseph wept

Genesis 50:15-23
- What makes Jesus (heavenly Joseph) cry in the last days
- (17) Joseph had forgiven his brothers, but they don’t believe that they were forgiven. Jesus weeps for the same thing.
- (21) Don’t be afraid, God has forgiven us much.

- The Holy Spirit is greived when we don’t speak words of grace. Don’t greive God for our sins for it is forgiven. Gladen the Lord by speaking words of grace.

Sermon

Ruth 2:20

Ruth 3:38-18
- At his feet - act of worship, making Jesus big and yourself small, all diseases will have to leave
- Don’t tie your value to your job, tie it to Jesus.
- Talib - a prayer shawl for Jews, sign of God’s righteousness, touching it will get healing.
- Shawl - Ruth asked Boaz to give her his shawl, a sign of marriage
- (12) Jesus is not satisfied with us just gleaning his blessings, but he wants to marry us (unveiling of Ruth’s shawl in v10) and bless us even more (6 ephahs in v11) and let us own all that he does.
- (18) When we sit still, he cannot rest and he works for us until it is completed. If we do work ourselves, he cannot help us complete it.
- Hand your problems to Him and rest and He will not rest until it is completed.

Ruth 4:1-11
- Boaz had a command and authority in the town.
- 10 elders - representing 10 commandants
- Close relative refers to the law, so law can’t redeem us.
- Law is closer, as it was given first before grace.
- Law is perfect, so it can’t redeem us as it will ruin its pureness.
- Boaz refers to grace now, redeeming us by 3 rules: close relative (Jesus came down to earth), wealthy, willingness
- Giving of sandals - giving the right, taking the right of law to stand in our lives
- Bought back Elimelech’s (my God is King), the sons (sickness and wasting away).

Ruth 4:16-17, 21-22
- Boaz - in Him is strength - Jesus
- Obed - serve
- Jesse - wealth
- David - beloved
- In Him is strength to serve wealth to his Beloved.

Hebrews 13:12
- Jesus suffered outside the gate (the most open place around)

Romans 3:21-22

Deuteronomy 23:3
- Law says Moabites can’t enter the court, so Ruth was disqualified, but by God’s grace we are able to.

Matthew 1:1-6
- (5) By grace, Ruth was qualified.

- God hates hesistancy. Come boldly to his throne.
- Grace gives you all the good things we don’t deserve, mercy keeps us from the bad things we deserve.
- Faith is never too bold to come to God.

Romans 7:1-6
- Husband refers to the law.
- We were once married to the law previously, but we are released and grace came along.
- The law is perfect, so it condemns. We became dead to the law, so we could be married to Jesus and allow His grace to flow in us.
- Many Christians still turn to grace upon problems, but go back to law. It is a sign of spiritual adultery.
- (5, 6) Ruth’s child under her dead husband were sick, but with Boaz they were good.

- Relocate based on the church there, not on economical conveniences.
- By law, we are disqualified like Ruth was, for she was of a different faith, but confess grace upon our situation.
- Our security is not in the job or what you do, but our security is by being in Him.
- God smells Jesus’ sacrifice and blessed Israel despite their wrongdoing.
- Men cannot live by bread only, for we need guidance from Him for our days.
- God helps us faith our battles and gives us more than we ever had, from health to finances, like the 1973 Israeli battles where there were outnumbered 50 to 1, but ended up claiming more land than before.

Isaiah 7:3-4
- Reading for the half-torah 3 days before the tragedy of 1997 Israeli helicopter crash.
- Shear-jashub - place of collision
- Tail of 2 firebrands
- God is telling them not to be faint-hearted. We are under the wings of ou God and He will protect us.

- We must labour to enter into His rest. Labour in His grace and works and we will get into a state of rest.

Leviticus 23:22
- Gleaners are the poor and half Jews who pick up the leftover grains and fruits.
- Ruth chose to do that, a backbreaking job.

John 6:26-27
- Labour not for natural things (food that can perish), but for eternal food (His Word).

- Ruth started at gleaning (Level 0), as a new believer.

Ruth 2:1-3
- Ruth - friend
- Boaz - in Him is strength
- Field for gleaning - God’s church
- Ruth had a heart of gleaning, but she met Boaz there.
- Ruth confess favour, but she knew it was not a technique or method for gleaning she wanted to find, but she knew it was a person she was to find, but not sure who it is.
- When we read the Bible, we are not going to find a technique or method, but Jesus expounded.
- Ruth was related to Boaz, but she did not pull strings, only trusting in the Lord to help her.
- Go to God’s assembly and you’ll pick up/ glean nuggets of God’s truths.

Ruth 2:3
- Confess favour like Ruth did. Believe firs and just go out, for it will happen.
- God prepares our days ahead of us, we just have to trust in Him.
- God said “Let there be Light!”, he believed for light before there was light.
- Ruth just happened to be in Boaz’s field.
- When we pray, it is not a waste of time, for God will let us know how to priortize our time and tasks for our days and we will acheive more than if we didn’t pray.

Ruth 2:3-14
- Only Boaz’s name is mentioned, for like the Holy Spirit does not bring attention to itself, but to the Lord.
- We come to this church or read the Bible to know about Him.
- When we are young believers, we go to church just to glean, to pick up nuggets of information, but the Holy Spirit will recognise us.
- Boaz noticed Ruth (at this point, 5th mention of Ruth’s name)
- Don’t go to other fields - Pursuing outside interests and passions, appreciate and find satisfaction in God’s field.
- Drink and feed from the field, from Jesus.
- Jesus protects us like Boaz ordered his men to stay away from Ruth.
- Gleaning to reapers to the master - First we pick up nuggets, then through guidance from others, we will reap and finally, we will meet God.
- Fell on her face - a sign of worship

- Don’t try not to be shy, but spend time seeing Jesus and let God transform us into confident people.
- Be secure in Him, like Jesus could be a King, but became a carpenter, who could wash the feet of His disciples.
- Our pain is because we are self-occupied, self-conscious. Gleaners gathers for themselves, reapers gather for the master. Move up the standard, and trust Him, not on yourself.
- God gives us a FULL reward when we choose to be under His protection. Use the grace He gave us and He will give us more grace.
- He gives us the love to love Him, and when He showers us with even more love.
- We might not be a reaper, not a servant, not a leader, but like Ruth, the lowest in the field, but she found favour in Boaz.
- Vinegar - sour wine + bread = communion
- Don’t fight the battle alone, feed in Him and let Him fight it for you.
- Parched grain - barley was food for the poor, but wheat is for the rich and elite few. Boaz gave her parched grain, roasted wheat bread.
- She sat among the reapers, a clear sign of favour.
- She ate until she was satisfied and still had some leftovers for her mother-in-law.

Joshua 5:11
- Manna ceased when they entered the promise land, and to gain the produce of the land, he revelations of truth.

Luke 15:17
- In our Father’s house, outside there’s famine, there will be overflowing goodness and enough food to eat and spare even.
- Put your eyes on Jesus.

Ruth 14:20
- Sheaves - place to put the harvest, which will be bundled, plenty of droppings to pick up
- God has purposelly dropping handfuls of mercy and grace for us.
- Ephah - 10 day supply

- Don’t conform to society, dare to be different. Don’t be dragged into th mud, but pull others out from there.

Deuteronomy 28:68
- The last curse that no one will buy the servant.

Galatians 3:13-14
- God has bought and redeemed us from all the world’s problem.

1. Freely Forgiven
2. The Highest Praise
3. Forgiven Much
4. Held By Your Love

- You’ll not be anxious in the year of drought.
- Mediate and mutter faith in Him.
- God knows what’s going on but He’ll only move when we pray.
- Mediation - take a verse and think about it throughout intervals in the day.
- The moment we start mediating, we get into rest.

Job 14:7-9
- Even if we’ve fallen like a fallen tree, yet there is still hope for us.
- With the water (Word), even the dead places in our lives will come alive.
- If the water doesn’t have to physically touch the dead tree log, but its presence allows green shoots to grow out of the dead tree log.

- Science facts before men discovered it: Job 25:5 (moon doesn’t emit light), 26:7, 38:7 (Stars emit radio waves that sounds like music)
- Isaiah (circle of the Earth, Earth is not flat)

- Education without God is evil, but it has to be holistic to be good.
- The Bible is scientifically accurate, but it’s not about science, but about God.
- Mediate on God’s promises from the Old Testament. In the New Testament, mediate on His completed works.

Psalm 1:1-3
- Mediate (hagah) and whatever we do prospers.

1 Timothy 4:7-8
- Profane & old wives’ fables cause fear, eg: don’t hold your chopsticks too high or you’ll marry far away, don’t point to the moon or your ear will get cut off.

- Don’t apologise for the Word of God, proclaim it.

Colossians 1:16-17
- God holds all things together like adhesive, putting everything in place.

- Humble and humility is not from speech or looks, but from those who point their good points to Jesus.

Psalm 1:3-4
- After verse
- Godliness comes from mediating.

1 Timothy 3, 4:15
- Before and after verses
- Mediate and profits will come. (Joshua 1:8)
- Mediate is the same thing in the OT as it is in the NT.

- George Miller’s Man of Faith (Length of days)
— Conscience towards man and God
— Blessing of God’s work in him
— Happiness towards his work through God

1 Timothy 4:15-16

- Constant hearing brings constant blessing.

Psalm 92:12-15
- Palm tree - every part used to manufacture something: oil, sap, fruit, trunk.
- Cider tree: stately, noble, majestic, long life, frangance from the oil that keeps away insects and fungus (repel evil spirits even while nice smelling and attractive)

John 10:10

(10) Life is meant to be enjoyed, not endured.

1 Thessalonians 5:18
(18) Have a winning attitude, a attitude of thanksgiving. We give thanks to the Lord because He is good and He can turn bad situations around.

Psalms 107:1
(1) Give thanks in Him, not only to Him for the good things.

Learn to focus on the things we already have, not envy what others have that we don’t.

Instead of complaining of a bad boss, thank God for having a job.

We’re imperfect. Don’t focus on others’ fault as we’re not perfect too.

Give thanks and appreciate the people around us for God loved us at our worst and our best.

John 6:1 - 11
(11) Jesus gave thanks for the 5 loaves and the 2 fishes while Andrew saw the same, and despised it. Give thanks and God will multiply it and good things will happen to you.

John 6:23
(23) It’s a great miracle where the many people had food and 12 baskets left over but The Holy Spirit is happier that we give thanks for it.

We don’t receive anything from God because of our works but by His grace so we are grateful to Him and give thanks to Him.

Ephesians 5:18 - 20
(18) Be filled with the spirit and give thanks to the Lord and we’ll break out of our oppressions and problems.

Your miracle is preceded by thanksgiving.

John 11:39 - 44
(41) An attitude of thanksgiving before the miracle.

Christ lives in us, so God hears and helps with our problems like He helps His son. Be conscious of that truth and He empowers us to do great things.

Giving thanks is a proclamation and declaration of our faith in Him.

Luke 17:11 - 19
(19) God sees our faith in Him when we give thanks.

Ask god for wisdom and revelation for what He has done for us. God has forgiven us, don’t ask for forgiveness, thank Him for forgiving us. Same for blessing us, never leaving and foresaking us.

When you pray, believe that you have received it then you shall have it. Command your problems to go and disregard the symptoms and situation, but believe God’s truth shall pevail.

By His stripes, we have been healed. Jesus has done it all and we have received it so reinforce your belief and faith that He has done it by giving thanks to Him.

1 Timothy 4:4
(4) Appreciating and giving thanks blesses the person or situation. Don’t look at the negatives only, focus on the positive that God he has given and bless you, and His ever abounding, everlasting love for us.

The people around us are precious. Spend time loving and appreciating them as they won’t be with us forever. Don’t live a life of regrets once they’re gone.

Money spent loving others leaves a good memory forever, so give thanks to God for what we has given us freely.

Philemon 6:6

1 Corinthians 15:57
(57) Victory through Jesus Christ is a gift He gives to us, so we can give thanks for He is good.

God is for us, and He is with us, always. Believe and give thanks to Him, always.

Rest In Jesus’ Faith For Miracles

Mark 9:14 - 27
(15) Amazed because they saw the glow in his face, showing them that they were blessed and saved from sin.

God loves men so fervently as He hates sin.

When Moses came down the hill with the 2 tablets, he had the glow of condemnation, so people ran away, (14) but when Jesus came down the hill, people ran to him for he had the glow of grace.

(21) Kids are never too young to understand Jesus as the devil never finds it too young to attack them with porn and vulgarities.

Evil spirits can only oppress us, but only Jesus can possess us with love and grace.

(22) Never tell the Lord to have compassion on us, and never leave us, cause He will never leave us and his spirit will live in us forever.

We’re not holding God’s hand but God holding our hand as like a child is not as secure holding the mother’s hand as the security of a mum holding the child’s hand.

Wherever we go, Jesus is always be with us and He will protect us and never forsake us.

(23) Jesus is not there for us, He is humble. He showed the love and helped the boy before the crowds came.

(26) Convulsed the boy greatly - the devil’s last burst of fire.

(27) Jesus lifts us up, so make friends like Jesus, always lifting us up and pointing us to Him instead of oppressing and bullying us.

(23) All things are possible to those who believes (present, active participle). Don’t ask God what He can do for you, just believe.

By Jesus’s unwavering faith in that by His stripes, we are healed. Not by our faith we’ll be healed but He’s definitely will.

Acts 3:11 - 13, 16
(12) Our godliness and our faith doesn’t work, but (16) His faith gives us perfect soundness and grace and calmness we can never experience by depending on our faith for Him.

God will give us the credit to trust in Him, like the disciples who couldn’t catch a fish, but believed and caught a boat sinking load.

We are only able to ledge on His faith, so live by His faith, not depend on our own faith.

Galatians 2:20 - We live by the faith of Jesus, the Son of God.

Our faith can fail, but God’s will never fail. Faith is a rest so if someone says something that makes us restless, know that God is aways restful, so rest in believing Him.

Hebrews 4:3
(3) From the foundations of the world, His rest comes. God lives outside time, so when His son died, He died outside time to let it be forever in our time.

Mark 11:20 - 23
(23) mountain - our burdens, our faith is in His unwavering faith so just say it.

God spoke good before He saw good. He saw darkness, and he spoke light, etc. Men only speak what they see, so when we speak bad, we see bad things and we speak bad about it and it continues in a vicious cycle.

Don’t confuse your emotions with faith. Sometimes we pray with no faith, God listens and helps, but when we think we believe, we focus more on the problems than on His faith.

Rest in His faith, cause beliveing in our own faith will only cause us to be even more restless.

Speak and believe in His faith. Don’t rush to pray for someone, wait for the authority to be given to Jesus by the one or by the parents going to be prayed for.

Hebrews 12:2
(2) author - origin, finisher; God is the origin and end of faith. Looking (present, active participle)

Romans 4:13 - 14
(14) Faith cannot operate when we believe in the law, when we think “Oh, have I done/believed enough?” causes unbelief. Stop looking unto oneself, but look unto Him.

There is no merit in faith, but there’s merit in Him. Our faith can run cold, His will never forever.
